The Sundial in Nová Lesná
The sundial is one of the oldest known scientific instruments used to measure time. Their principle is based on the movement of the shadow cast by the pointer, during a sunny day. The basic idea of this sundial was to create a space offering the possibility of reflection. Reflections on time, watching its course in connection with the apparent movement of the Sun in the sky, and on thinking about oneself. Above that time can be used, but also wasted. The visitor is also provided with basic information about the panorama of the High Tatras. The space of the Sundial is composed of the following elements: sundial, object of panoramic orientation, meditation tables.
